David Joyce is running for Yuba County Supervisor Distr. 1

David Joyce 1 24 18Local Air Force Veteran David Joyce has filed signature in lieu petitions with the local elections office and has started collecting signatures for his candidacy for County Supervisor District 1. The Marysville resident is returning to the area after living in Sacramento area for several years. He joined the Air Force in 2003 and was stationed at Beale AFB as a Munitions Technician until 2007. After his military service he worked as a Budget Analyst for the State of California and also was awarded a Mission Continues Fellowship which he served at Congressman Tom McClintock’s office where he specialized in Veteran Affairs.

In addition to his time with McClintock’s office he has over a decade of campaign experience ranging from School Board to local Congressional races and was elected to the Sacramento County Republican Central Committee during his time in Sacramento. The idea of running for public office was not originally in the plan when he and his wife relocated to Yuba County. “I’m running because the same problems this county had a decade ago when I was here are still going on and in some cases even worse. The more I started digging around the more I found out things I really did not like, it became a rabbit hole. My Wife and I cannot tolerate sitting on the sidelines. The outpouring of support we received locally when we started to explore running was amazing” says Joyce.

In addition to returning to the area, Joyce has started his own marketing company and finished his Master’s this past June. Joyce says his style of campaigning will be welcomed in his district, “The response to my platform and reason for running has been great. I’m a firm believer in meeting people in their homes and getting to know them and their concerns. I will govern the exact same way. I fully intend to have a daily mobile office in my district and being highly accessible, there are great people here and they deserve that”. Joyce states that his district concerns involve better fiscal management of local funds, the dire situation regarding illegal pot grows and bringing businesses to Yuba County.

David and his wife Kendra reside in Marysville with their daughter Lola. If you want to assist in signature gathering or get to know more about the campaign contact him directly at 530-301-6433 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
