Yuba County’s 5th District Supervisor, farmer and local small business owner, Randy Fletcher, will run for re-election to the Yuba County Board of Supervisors.
“Since I took office, our District has been hit hard, experiencing the worst droughts and wildfires in recorded history,” said Fletcher. “I strive every day to use my time to the fullest to help our residents recover and thrive.”
Fletcher’s first term has been focused on tackling the top issues identified during his campaign and building relationships throughout Yuba County and California. He completed the ban on outdoor marijuana grows, worked to reduce flooding problems in District 10, secured a new ambulance location to better serve the foothills, started construction on a cell tower in Brownsville, secured an unprecedented amount of funding for road repair projects, eliminated many small permit fees and started a same-day permitting process for a dozen common projects.
Fletcher served as Chairman of the Board in 2017. He represents the County on 14 committees and boards, including the Yuba County Disaster Council and the Yuba County Water Agency.
Senator Jim Nielsen, Assemblyman James Gallagher, and numerous regional County Supervisors have endorsed Fletcher’s re-election campaign.
Fletcher is President of Fletcher & Associates Insurance in Downtown Marysville, and the owner of the historic Chestnut Grove in Brownsville. He was the original founder of Tuff Stuff Jerky.
Fletcher served over 20 years in local law enforcement and was a nominee for Officer of the Year.
Randy and Kathy have lived in Browns Valley for 35 years. They have two children and five grandchildren.
“My experience as a police officer, farmer and small business owner prepared me to lead our District,” said Fletcher. “I ask for your vote again.”
