Gold Sox Quiet Bears’ Bats

Marysville, Ca.

The Marysville Gold Sox pitching staff turned in a much needed quality outing to lead the Gold Sox to a 8-3 win over the Yuba City Bears. Darrel Doll, Cruz Daddario, and Lincoln Clayton combined to allow just 7 hits and 3 runs over 9 innings of work on Thursday night. Catcher Tom Fuller led the Gold Sox with 4 hits and 2 RBI’s.

“It’s been fun to watch these two teams battle and the result has
been some very competitive baseball games,” said Bears and Gold Sox VP/GM
Michael Mink.

With the win the Gold Sox evened the Twin City Rivalry Series at 3
games apiece. The Gold Sox will host Friday night’s game with fireworks post
game presented by Feather Falls Casino Brewing Company. The Bears will then
host the final game of the series on Saturday night. First pitch for both games
is at 7:05 PM.
