Wanted Parolee Apprehended by Police k9

On April 11th, 2019, State Parole Agents contacted a subject at Rideout Hospital while they were there for an un-related issue.  The subject, later identified as Terry Wilson (48 years) of Yuba City, was known to the Parole Agent and was a wanted subject by parole.  Wilson at that time also had a concealed knife on his person that the agent confiscated.  Before the Parole Agent could confirm if he was in fact wanted Wilson ran through the hospital and out the door.  Parole notified Marysville Police to assist in locating Wilson.

Officers responded and located Wilson on the levee south of 1st St running Eastbound.  Officers intercepted Wilson and Wilson then ran Westbound toward the E St Bridge.  Officer Culver and his K-9 partner “Rocky” were on the Westside of the E St Bridge.  Ofc. Culver commanded Wilson to stop and get on the ground while Wilson was directly under the E St bridge near the water.  Wilson did not comply and ran, due to Wilson’s combative history with police officers, K-9 rocky was deployed to apprehend Wilson.  Wilson ran toward the river bank where K-9 Rocky detained him.  Wilson continued to be combative, even after dragging Ofc. Culver and K-9 Rocky into the river with him.  Wilson was ultimately handcuffed and placed under arrest.  Medical was called for Wilson due to the K-9 deployment.  Wilson was later booked into Yuba County Jail for parole violations, resisting arrest and possessing a concealed knife.
