The City of Marysville has announced they will celebrate the lighting of their downtown Christmas Tree on December 6th. The festivities, which begin at 5:00 in the park at 3rd and D, will kick-off the holiday shopping season for downtown merchants as well, most remaining open until 9:00pm. The downtown shopping experience will be enhanced this year with the seasonal launch of 3 “pop-up” shops in addition to the array of unique stores already located on and around D Street.
“The Christmas Tree lighting is always such a festive event. It’s a great way to get the holiday season started”, commented Mayor Ricky Samayoa. “In past years, we’ve held the Tree Lighting on the same day as the parade but this year we’re pairing it with the launch of our Pop-Up Shops on D Street.
“Downtown Marysville is filled with shops offering one-of-a-kind gift ideas”, he continued, “and our new Pop-Up Shops are bringing even more variety of handmade and unique products”.
The Pop-Up Shops are located at 323, 324 and 325 D Street. They will feature Vintage Clothing & Accessories, Woodcrafts, Artisanal Candles and Bath & Beauty Products. Customers will find them open during the 3 weekends before Christmas.
